KNSO Conductor’s Workshop The track that nurtures conductors in S. Korea is not clear enough given the importance and influence of conducting on the classical music stage, as there are only a handful of institutions that have a separate conducting department among Korean music schools. Based on such concerns and considerations, KNSO has established a venue where Korean conductors can develop their stage experience to their heart’s content, carry out individual marketing, and find a relationship with classical music management. The workshop is held every year except the year when the KNSO International Conducting Competition takes place, while also inviting composers of Korean nationality and under the age of 39.
