Eu Lee Nam

Eu-Lee Nam is a South Korean conductor and pianist.
She is the winner of the conducting prize at Internationale Sommerakademie Radolfzell 2021 voted by musicians of the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie. Recently she was a finalist of La Maestra Competition 2024 in Paris and with recognition she will be supported in La Maestra Academy program 2024-26 by the Philharmonie de Paris and the Paris Mozart Orchestra. She will work as the assistant conductor of Orchestre de Paris under Esa-Pekka Salonen. September 2024 she conducts the Romanian Youth Orchestra at the George Enescu Festival under the direction of Cristian Macelaru.
She recently conducted the Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est, the Paris Mozart Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, the Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cottbus State Orchestra, the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Symphonic Orchestra, the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, Stattsorchester Gärtnerplatz, the Southwest German Philharmonic, the Philharmonie Bad Reichenhall, Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and Hungarian State Orchestra Szeged. In April 2022 she conducted the last performance of the Magic Flute Production of Theaterakademie Everding in Munich.  She has recently worked as guest Répétiteur at Staatstheater Kassel. Currently she is the music director and chief conductor of Münchner Mandolinen-Zirkel.

She took part in several masterclasses with several prominent conductors and professors, including with Jaap van Zweden at the conducting masterclass of Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, with David Reiland at the "Gabriel Pierné International Conducting Masterclasses", with Prof. Johannes Schläfli and Prof. Nicolas Pasquet at the “Weimar Meisterkurs”, with Prof. Ulrich Windfuhr at the international Mendelssohn Festival in Hamburg, with Prof. Johannes Schläfli at the International Summer Academy Radolfzell, as well as with Sir Donald Runnicles and Prof. Sigmund Thorp.

She studied orchestral conducting for a bachelor's degree 2017-2021 in Berlin at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns-Eisler” with Prof. Christian Ehwald and Prof. Alexander Vitlin. 2021-2024 she studied her master for orchestra conducting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München with Prof. Marcus Bosch and Prof. Georg Fritzsch.
